John Earl Dean, age 65, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Rabun died Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired electrician for Ecovery in Loxley and also a farmer. He was a member of Perdido Masonic Lodge #752.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Dean of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Deborah Dean (Randy) Hyatt of Rabun and Lewana Dean (Steve) Goodrich of Daphne, AL; nieces and nephews, Steve Goodrich, Jr., Dean Goodrich, Jason Hyatt, Ivy Hyatt Brown and Charlotte Hyatt Summers and great nieces and nephews, Rachael Goodrich, Elizabeth Goodrich, Stella Goodrich, Emma Kate Hyatt, McKenzie Hayatt, Jaron Hyatt, Blaine Hyatt, Shannon Joiner, Connor Hill, Corbin Hill, Karsyn Hill and Cameron Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Orvil and Minnie Lou Rotch Dean.
Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Dean Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Brown and Chaplain Joe Stevens officiating.
Pallbearers will be Connor Hill, Corbin Hill, Cameron Hill, Steve Goodrich, Dean Goodrich, Blaine Hyatt, Camerion Hill and Jaron Hyatt.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for the loving and professional care given to John Earl by Kim, Judy, Chaplain Joe and social worker Tracey.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
